The Seventh Edition of the Ubud Village Jazz Festival (UVJF) returns to Central Bali’s Cultural and Arts Center of Ubud August 16-17, 2019.
Presented at various venues and stages around Ubud, the Festival has earned a reputation for presenting world quality jazz performances and is now a permanent fixture on the calendar of international jazz festivals.
Starting in 2010, Yuri Mahatma – a well know Indonesia musician, composer and jazz educator credited with founding the “Underground Jazz Movement” joined forces with Anom Darsana of ANTIDA Music Productions with whom he shared the seminal idea of creating a jazz musical event in Bali.
Returning for its 7th year, the 2019 Ubud Village Jazz Festival (UVJF) will once again provide:
- Workshops for of local and national music educators to discover ways of creating interest in jazz among the younger generation.
- Sponsorship opportunities for local government administrations, organizations, and businesses to promote products and services while, at the same time, bringing Jazz to the Indonesian and the local community in Bali.
UVJF is supported and reliant on volunteers who donate thousands of hours to make the festival a success.
